Pound Cake ~ Mamaw Rayburn

Mamaw Rayburn

• 1 c. butter
• 2 c. sugar
• 4 eggs
• 3 c. flour
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 1 c. milk
• 1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together, adding alternately with milk and creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into a tube cake pan. Bake for 1 hr. at 350° Fahrenheit.
